A Yame tea producer in Kyushu, in our third generation. We don't just sell tea — we grow it and finish it ourselves, then ship it straight from the maker. Now, for the first time, in English.
Discover our teaGlobal demand for fine Japanese green tea is climbing to record highs. And Yame — a small region in Kyushu — is the source of its most prized leaf: gyokuro, the deep, sweet, shade-grown green tea that Japan tends to keep for itself.
Iwasaki-en is a tea producer (製造元) in Yame, Fukuoka — founded over seventy years ago and still run by the family. We grow, finish, and pack our own leaf, so the tea that reaches you has passed through our own hands at every step.
That direct line — from our fields in Yame to your cup — is what lets us send tea fresh, and stand behind every grade we sell, from everyday sencha to the finest gyokuro.
Yame's signature, and our highest grade. Shaded from the sun for weeks before harvest, it pours a jade-green cup with an almost broth-like, lingering sweetness.
Steamed a little longer for a rich, full-bodied, gently sweet cup. The everyday green tea of a Yame household — and our most-loved leaf.
Green tea roasted to a warm amber. Toasty, low in caffeine, soothing late in the day — an easy first step for anyone new to Japanese tea.
A boxed selection of our teas, packed fresh. The most generous way to begin — for yourself, or as a gift carrying the name of Yame.
Order from our online shop — every tea shipped fresh across Japan, with secure card, PayPay and other payment options. Perfect if you live here or are visiting.
